Moroccan gastronomy features among the world's richest,
most elaborate and varied cuisines. In the northern region you will
also have the chance to taste its fish and seafood.
Morocco is open to international tourism and there are many restaurants
and bars (though not all of them) that are licensed to sell alcohol. We
propose to you our favourite restaurants near the harbour:

Located in Martil,
approximately twenty minutes by car. This small restaurant is
soberly decorated but you will be able to taste the masterpieces
of a most talented chef whose sole with capers and sprinkled
almonds has become a must.
His chocolate and lemon
gateaux are no doubt the best in Morocco. |

Located just a few minutes from the marina, it offers
excellent fish and seafood, along with attentive service,
in a pleasant atmosphere. Its owners are most welcoming and
service is good. At the weekends, a typical Andalusí
orchestra enlivens the soirée.
Moroccan food is available on request. |

It only opens in summer, but we advise you to have
dinner there during your visit to Port Marina Smir. It is
located on the most privileged spot of the entire coast
- at the far end of the ditch separating the entrance to Port
Marina Smir from the beach. It offers fresh products,
while its owners, Paco and Elena, assure good service.
After dinner, it turns into the region's most lively pub. |

Its owner, Souad, is known to make the region's
best pastela. The pastela is one of the delicious recipes
offered by Moroccan gastronomy - do not miss it. Inside,
the guest will be met by an interesting fireplace and an elaborate
rustic decoration creating a both pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
In summertime, a terrace with nice views to the country is open. |

Right in the centre of the medina of Tetouan, this restaurant
is set in the courtyard and rooms of an old aristocratic house
of Tetouan.
It offers a tasting of typical Moroccan food: salads,
couscous, pastela and Moroccan pastry. |
